Review of Websites (continued)

2. Inspiration
Inspiration enables students to create graphic organizers, concept maps, idea maps and other visual diagrams. This software would be great for any type of learner because it helps students to   s o r t   and organize their ideas about a topic. Students can add pictures and colors to their organizers to make it visually pleasing and easier to recall ideas. The software is available on desktops as well as on iPads and iPhones! You do have to pay for this software but they provide a 30-day FREE trial for you to test out.

Here is an example of a graphic organizer made on Inspiration:

  1. Erin, I also used Inspiration as a resource for reading. I enjoyed your post because it was very appealing to the reader. I love that inspiration guides the students through the entire writing process not just the brainstorming phase. It is so easy to use with everything right there on the same page. The students can easily access their graphic organizers, create outlines, and turn their finished products into a presentation. The greatest thing about Inspiration is that it is fun for the students to use with the visuals they offer. Students will look forward to writing time using Inspiration and not just a paper and pencil. Great Job!

    1. Thank you Christina! I think it's great that Inspiration guides students through the writing process as well. I agree with you that students have a lot more fun using this software than just using paper and pencil! Having interactive and fun resources, like Inspiration, will allow students to be engaged and demonstrate their best work!

  2. Inspiration sounds like a great tool for students. I'd like to share with you a tool for visual disability. This revolutionary camera helps students with visual impairments "read" on their own.
