What did we do today?

Children with autism have difficulty relating past events. Using past event cards enables students to communicate about events that happened in their day. The purpose of past event cards is for students to reflect back on what they did and share with their families when they get home from school.

Here is an example I made of a past event card a student could use:

Today at school we had an assembly about _________________________. At recess, I went outside and played __________________. I learned about ______________________ in science class.

*Student can write in the blanks, teacher can write in the blanks or student can circle the correct event*
