Social Story

Just like picture schedules, social stories can help students throughout the day. Social stories were created by Carol Gray in 1991 to help teach social skills to people with autism. They are short descriptions of a particular situation, event or activity, which include specific information about what to expect in that situation and why. 1. Thanks Andrea! I think having different programs to create social stories is great because you are able to customize and pick the social story layout that matches the student!

  3. I love this social story! Social stories are a great way for students to learn about the appropriate ways to approach social situations. I think seeing these types of stories can also help them feel more comfortable in that real life situation. The little boy is super cute too :)
